Exporting your file from Audacity
1) In Audacity go to File< "Export as aiff"
2) Save the .aiff file to your animation folder (This is your high res copy ready for Final Cut)

Viewing audio wave forms in Final Cut:
Go to Sequence < Settings...< Timeline Options < and check the box net to “Show Audio Waveforms”
